Arizona Botanical Gardens was started in 1988 by Lee Jones in Clarkdale Arizona along SR 89A on the side of Mingus Mountain. In 1998, at the age of 79 years old, Lee decided to retire and sold the business to Allen Bradley and Charlie Travis. The following year, Jason Lavelle came to Arizona Botanical Gardens to manage the nursery aspect of the business. We have been growing and planting low maintenance and low water use plants ever since, carrying on Lee's dream.
